The drive to drop Zakk off at camp was fun! Just the two of us. We chit chatted about all kinds of things. He admitted he was a bit nervous, but was also really excited. He is most excited about trying archery. We got there and checked in with the nurse and then the dean of camp. Everyone was so nice that it made it a little(just a little) easier. Then his counselor came and we took his stuff to his cabin. He was lucky to get in the same cabin as his friend which was good. It looked like a lot of the kids knew each other so I was thankful. That was that! I gave him a big hug and he was off! I admit to being a total dork and crying a little after I got in the car. I also admit that going back and getting him did cross my mind. They are not allowed any cell phones or other electronics, so I can't call him. I have a knot in my stomach that will probably stay there until Friday. I know he is having a blast though and can't wait to hear all about it!
Here he is loading up his bag into the car.
Here is Zakk waiting to check in.
I had a few more pictures, but am unable
to upload them right now. I sent Zakk with
a few disposable cameras, so hopefully
he will take a bunch of photos and I'll let
him blog about them himself.
